Chúng Ta Cùng Nhau Vietnamese-Edmonton Cultural Society presents a Vietnamese Heritage Month Kick-Off Event on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026 at Edmonton City Hall!
This kick-off event includes cultural performances, special guest speakers, the announcement of the first-ever Vietnamese Elder & Cultural Advisor presented by Chúng Ta Cùng Nhau Vietnamese-Edmonton Cultural Society, heritage displays, complimentary refreshments and more!

Doors open at 11 a.m.
Program from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Refreshments & Mingling from 12:30-2 p.m.

ABOUT VIETNAMESE HERITAGE MONTH
Vietnamese Heritage Month occurs each year in September, and was first officially declared provincially from the Government of Alberta in 2024, but has had little attention, awareness or events associated within the community since.
Our non-profit group Chúng Ta Cùng Nhau Vietnamese-Edmonton Cultural Society is starting to create more awareness around Vietnamese Heritage Month, including with a kick-off ceremony at City Hall this Tuesday, September 1, 2026, to recognize the month at a municipal level, along with unveiling our first-ever Vietnamese Elder & Cultural Advisor.
We are also working with other local Vietnamese businesses, groups and individuals to coordinate their own Vietnamese Heritage Month promotions and activities. Stay tuned for a list of Vietnamese Heritage Month (Sept 2026) promotions & activities.
