How to Participate in Vietnamese Heritage Month in Edmonton (September 2026)
Everyone is invited to participate in Vietnamese Heritage Month activities this September 2026 in Edmonton!
Vietnamese Heritage Month occurs annually each September. This month was first designated provincially from the Government of Alberta in 2024, but has had little attention, awareness or events associated within the community since.
Until now! Our non-profit group Chúng Ta Cùng Nhau (We Are Together) Vietnamese-Edmonton Cultural Society is starting to create more awareness around Vietnamese Heritage Month! We’ve worked with businesses, organizations, artists and individuals across Edmonton to coordinate events, promotions and other special activities the community can take part in to commemorate the month.
Below is a list of Vietnamese Heritage Month activities taking place in Edmonton this September 2026 presented by nearly 20 organizations!
We thank these businesses, organizations, artists and individuals for their willingness and excitement to be part of the inaugural Vietnamese Heritage Month celebrations in Edmonton (and we thank whoever sets up the High Level Bridge Light the Bridge Vietnamese colours!!)
We encourage and welcome more Vietnamese businesses, organizations, artists and individuals to come up with their own ways to celebrate the month! Let us know and we'll add it to the ongoing list on our website.
Our hope is that the number of people involved in presenting activities for Vietnamese Heritage Month will grow each year! We look forward to increasing visibility and representation of Vietnamese culture and heritage, and bringing together Vietnamese-Edmontonians and the broader community this September and year-round.

Lucky Vietnamese Heritage Hunt – Customers can pick up a hunt card, complete fun questions and challenges around Vietnamese food and culture, and return it for a chance to win.
Each store will have a weekly prize draw, plus a final grand prize draw at the end of September.
